Youth Ministry: Erasing America's Family and Christian Heritage?

As you look on the church landscape, youth are leaving the faith in droves. The modern church, overall, is struggling to reach the next generation with the gospel. What has happened? Whether for good or bad, men, for many years, have been inventing solutions or brainstorming ideas without fully relying upon the foundation of God’s Word. God, however, is greater than man, and as the heavens are above the earth, so are His ways higher than ours and His thoughts than our thoughts (Is. 55:8-9). 

We have substituted the greater for the lesser – God’s wisdom for man’s ideas. Jesus said that he who hears His Word and does it, is like a man that built his house upon a rock, and when the storm came, it stood firm. On the other hand, he who rejects His Word, is like a man who built on the sand and when the storm came, the house fell (Matt. 7:24-25). Shouldn’t the church, as a whole, abandon the sandy ideas of man and shamelessly return to the firm rock of the Word of God? God’s Word sufficiently identifies how youth are to be reached.

The Debt Ceiling Compromise Stinks More Than All The Blue Cheese On The Moon, or Something Like That

Yes, there will be a compromise bill to raise the debt ceiling and it will include some meaningless on-paper spending reductions but not a plan to balance the budget and certainly no plan to get the US out of debt.  Yes, the US Dollar will soon cease to be the World Reserve Currency.  What will happen to the US and the US Economy and what will happen to our descendents?  Certainly the majority in Washington DC don't give a rip.

What do I think of this whole mess? I agree with Representative Paul Ryan (R-Wisconsin).

John Boehner (R-OH) Operates Like the Thug-In-Chief When Dealing With Jim Jordan (R-OH)

John Boehner has been hanging around at The White House, and apparently he has picked up some tips from the Thug-In-Chief.  Now, Boehner is threatening to have his RINO cronies in the Ohio Statehouse to gerrymander Jim Jordan's (R-Ohio) US House of Representatives district so that Jordan will not be re-elected. Why? Because Jordan is doing what a US Representative should be doing, that is, he is representing his constituents point of view.  

So what does Boehner do to those who disagree with him?  The same thing that Barack Hussein Obama does....play thug games.  From The Columbus Dispatch: 

Jim Jordan's open defiance of Speaker John Boehner's efforts to solve the debt-ceiling crisis could cost the Urbana Republican his safe House seat in next year's election.

Two Republican sources deeply involved in configuring new Ohio congressional districts confirmed to The Dispatch  today  that Jordan's disloyalty to Boehner has put him in jeopardy of being zeroed out of a district.

"Jim Jordan's boneheadedness has kind of informed everybody's thinking," said one of the sources, both of whom spoke only on condition of anonymity. "The easiest option for everybody has presented itself."

Jordan's rural 11-county district, which has a 60 percent Republican voter index, "is easy to cannibalize because it stretches so far," the other source said.

 Jordan, a tea party favorite who leads the 170-plus member Republican Study Committee, has stymied Boehner's efforts to raise the debt ceiling. 

Apparently if you spend enough time making deals with President Obama, you'll start to operate like President Obama does.

 The whole charade over the debt ceiling is nothing more than setting up a convenient excuse to remove the US dollar as the World Reserve Currency. This will happen, and the politicians know it, and so they are simply trying to play a game of musical chairs to see who gets stuck with the blame for it. In reality, there is blame and culpability enough to go around for everyone.
Solving this problem, on the other hand, is very simple, and follows the same pattern that you or I would would follow if we faced personal bankruptcy, or that any business that is not in line for taxpayer-funded bailouts would follow.  First off, sell everything that you don't actually need.  Secondly, cut spending on anything that you don't actually need, and stop giving to others when you don't have enough for yourself.  Thirdly, cut up the credit cards, pay off the accounts, and cancel them.  
Would this hurt a lot? Yes.  Would everyone feel it? Certainly.  
I'm talking selling national park land and other government holdings. Yes, we lose a lot of valuable heritage sites, but the lasting pain would be a reminder to never go in debt again. I'm talking no more foreign aid or money to the UN.  No one can buy friends anyway - is our government really dumb enough to believe that this can be done (wait, don't answer that!). I'm talking ELIMINATION of the use of debt by the government and adding an amendment to the US Constitution that the budget must be balanced, and that only Constitutionally-enumerated government functions be funded.  
The US Dollar is not going to be the Reserve Currency in any case.  Too much damage has been done, and even if those in decision-making positions had the courage to do what I am suggesting, it would take years, decades even, for the US to be on stable footing.  
I'm just thinking of future generations here, much the same as the Founding Fathers did.

The video is just over 8 minutes long.  Is it worth taking the time to view it?  Oh yes it is!

This is a very good summary of how Public-Sector unions funnel money to certain candidates.  Once those candidates are elected, they provide for the unions.  The cycle then repeats itself. 

What is the problem with this?  Only that the end-result will be an unaffordable state government for taxpayers who are already being shackled with debt slavery by their Federal government. 

Why post this?   Only the voters can fix the problem.  Ohio voters: vote YES on SB 5!

Arizona - Doing the Jobs Chief Executives Won't Do

Arizona launches site to net cash for border fence



One of the few Constitutionally-mandated jobs for the Executive Branch of the US Government is to defend the country and its borders.  Any prudent observer would have to say that the current Chief Executive and his administration have fallen somewhat short of meeting this mandate.

The state of Arizona has taken action in its own right, first with SB 1070  which essentially enabled the law enforcement personnel in that state to do the job that the US government refuses to do in regard to enforcing laws against illegal immigration.

Now, Arizona is launching an effort to build a border fence, which is another job that the US Government won't do.  The website is buildtheborderfence.com and hopes to harness private donations to finance the materials to build a border fence, which will be constructed with inmate labor.

Who knows? Maybe they can bill to US Government for doing the jobs that The Feds just won't do.
