United Nations Official Admits Carbon Cap-And-Trade Global Climate Change Global Warming Is Redistribution Of Wealth

The long-term end result of "redistributing the wealth" would be most people in every country being dependent on their respective governments for survival, with the United Nations calling the shots.  A sort of international governmental umbrella.  Taxing and controlling carbon, an essential element in the function and formation life which has been miscast as a toxic substance, gives the perfect (although totally contrived) strawman villain.  

After many generations have been indoctrinated to accept this charade as fact, it is only a matter of time for it to be a pathway to imposed slavery unless by some miracle the truth of this matter is made known to people worldwide, and then further some action can be taken to in fact stop and reverse this.  The odds are admittedly in favor of those who control the media.  The US government already is moving to control the only truly free speech media forum, the Internet.  Homeland Security has already followed that up by setting the precedent of seizing some domain names.   On top of all that, Cap-and-Trade has already passed the US House.   Currently The Senate is making noises to indicate that Cap-And-Trade is dead in the water.  I don't trust them.  Do you?

The "Social Issues" Vacuum Is Filled By Progressives On The Left

The so-called "Social Issues" have been the bastion of The Left in the USA for many, many years.  Public Education, or Government Education more accurately, is the foundation for Leftist Thought and doctrine in our nation, and each and every year there is a new class of graduates at every level of government education who have been indoctrinated in a single and narrow way of thinking.  This way of thinking is that the answer to every problem is the government and that people are incapable of taking responsibility for their own lives, and by inference also incapable of taking responsibility for self-government.  

If Conservatives abandon their pursuit of social issues then The Left will continue to operate as the source of procedural wisdom and the bedrock of Political Correctness that indeed not only is the basis of the addressing of social issues but also the formation of the groundwork of indoctrinated thought by which these issues are addressed in the USA.  This means that The Left calls the shots in any debate on not only government education but also abortion, homosexuality, sharia law, parental rights, carbon taxation, and the list goes on Ad Infinitum. 

The Left controls the vocabulary of political correctness when it comes to how these issues are spoken about and, by inference, also how these issues are thought about.  Make no mistake, when an imposed vocabulary is present, the thought process follows that imposed vocabulary.  

If Conservatives are convinced that they should not deal with the social issues then they are conceding this already occupied ground to The Left.  To do this would be a fundamental and fatal mistake.

The Pilgrims Gave Thanks On The First Thanksgiving Because They Had Rejected A Communist System

The Pilgrims Real Thanksgiving Lesson - Benjamin Powell

In 2008, Benjamin Powell wrote this short historical blurb for the Independent Institute.  It is a good summary of the transition that the Pilgrims made from 1620, when they first landed and established Plymouth Plantation, to 1623 when the First Thanksgiving Feast was celebrated.  Here are some excerpted highlights from Mr. Powell:

In 1620 Plymouth Plantation was founded with a system of communal property rights. Food and supplies were held in common and then distributed based on equality and need as determined by Plantation officials. People received the same rations whether or not they contributed to producing the food, and residents were forbidden from producing their own food. Governor William Bradford, in his 1647 history, Of Plymouth Plantation, wrote that this system was found to breed much confusion and discontent and retard much employment that would have been to their benefit and comfort. The problem was that young men, that were most able and fit for labour, did repine that they should spend their time and strength to work for other men’s wives and children without any recompense. Because of the poor incentives, little food was produced.

Faced with potential starvation in the spring of 1623, the colony decided to implement a new economic system. Every family was assigned a private parcel of land. They could then keep all they grew for themselves, but now they alone were responsible for feeding themselves. While not a complete private property system, the move away from communal ownership had dramatic results. 

Once the Pilgrims in the Plymouth Plantation abandoned their communal economic system and adopted one with greater individual property rights, they never again faced the starvation and food shortages of the first three years. It was only after allowing greater property rights that they could feast without worrying that famine was just around the corner. 

It is customary in many families to give thanks to the hands that prepared this feast during the Thanksgiving dinner blessing. Perhaps we should also be thankful for the millions of other hands that helped get the dinner to the table: the grocer who sold us the turkey, the truck driver who delivered it to the store, and the farmer who raised it all contributed to our Thanksgiving dinner because our economic system rewards them. That’s the real lesson of Thanksgiving. The economic incentives provided by private competitive markets where people are left free to make their own choices make bountiful feasts possible.

Sadly, I was an adult before I learned the true story of The First Thanksgiving.  I was taught in school that the Native Americans and Pilgrims sat down to a feast because the Native Americans had taught the Pilgrims how to survive in the land and had saved their lives by that, and a peaceful Thanksgiving Feast was the result. 

Even more sadly, it is clear to me that in 2010 we are on a fast-track to return to the system that the Pilgrims rejected, and away from the private property rights included in the Constitutional Republic and Free Market system that they set the groundwork for with their practical response to their near-starvation experience.

China is not happy that we have devalued the US Dollar by printing more of them in the process of monetizing the national debt, because the Chinese have fronted the US lots of money, money that is owed back to them.  Simply put, if they ever get repaid, the dollars that they are repaid in are worth less than the dollars that they invested.  If I was them, I'd be unhappy too.  That test rocket that the Chinese fired off of the coast of California was a shot over the collective bow of the USA. 

Democrats Believe That Those In US Goverment Jobs Should Not Receive Heath Care Benefits

In a classic case of the Fourth Rule in Saul Alinsky's book, Rules For Radicals ("Make The Enemy Live Up To their Own Book Of Rules"), The Democrat Left is in effect saying that because Republicans elected to serve in Congress oppose the US Government providing Obamacare to everyone that they should not receive their healthcare benefits as government workers.  ( Senator Harry Reid (D-Nevada) even employed this same strategy in his recent re-election campaign. ) 

From the AP article as posted on The Columbus Dispatch website:

The issue of whether GOP members who campaigned to repeal the health-care reform law should not take their federal health-insurance benefits came up last week when a newly elected House Republican, Andy Harris (R-Maryland), complained about freshmen lawmakers not being eligible for the federal plan until Feb. 1. Members of Congress are to be sworn in on Jan. 3.

That sparked a letter from a group of Democrats, including Rep. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio) of Niles, to GOP congressional leaders arguing that Republicans who want to repeal the health-care reform law shouldn't accept federal health-insurance benefits.

Two current GOP lawmakers, Reps. Steve Austria (R-Ohio) of Beavercreek and Pat Tiberi (R-Ohio) of Genoa Township, also reject the idea that it's wrong to want to repeal the health-care law while participating in a federal plan.

"Like most federal employees, I pay the individual portion of my health-insurance coverage," Austria said. "And, like most Americans, I am not exempt from the mandates of this costly, ill-conceived, sweeping new health-care law."

Tiberi views the congressional plan he pays into as analogous to a private, employer-based plan, "and as an employee of the federal government, Congressman Tiberi will continue to pay for and receive federal health-care benefits, for himself and his family, just like other federal employees," said Breann Gonzalez, Tiberi's spokeswoman.

Representative Tiberi is correct.  Even though these folks actually work for We The People, their pay and benefits packages are administered by the US goverment and is the collective compensation that they receive for doing to job of representing We The People in Washington DC.  

One could argue that the compensation package is excessive and that the method of pay raises and compensation determination should be changed, and I could agree with that premise. 

However, to say that these Republicans cannot be consistent when they would oppose Obamacare (which will certainly not only destroy the functionality of the US health care system but also drive a fiscally-toxic dagger into almost every sector of the US economy)  but still accept healthcare benefits as part of their job is a logical disconnect.  For the Democrats to be consistent in using this argument then they would have to also agree that no federal employee should have health care benefits.  

Obamacare is not about health care (except to the extent that it would degrade healthcare in the US to an unrecognizable level in a very short time).  Obamacare is about government control of the lives of We The People.  All elected representative officials of We The People who are being consistent with their oath of office to uphold The Constitution would oppose Obamacare, no matter what party they belong to.  Obamacare and the US Constitution are mutually exclusive propositions, which is why I have labeled March 21st, 2010 as The Day The Constitution Died.  

Democrats, if you want to start cutting the federal budget by cutting health care benefits for government employees, that is your choice.  I pay for my health care out of my own pocket, so in my view if that is good enough for me then it is also good enough for those who represent me.  

I would rather start cutting the federal budget deeply than monetizing the debt by printing tons of money and thereby devaluing the US Dollar and bringing in inflation along with a stagnant economy (Stagflation - which last occurred under President Jimmy Carter, which I'm "sure" is coincidental), So Democrats this is your chance to be consistent and lead the way in solving our problems...or would that be unfair of me to apply Alinsky's Rule #4 to you?  

Oh by the way, I find it interesting that Mr. Alinksy used the term "enemy" to describe the targeted opposition in Rules For Radicals.  Where else have I heard that term recently?

US Envoy In Talks Over U.S. Policy In Somlia With Somali Leaders In Columbus, Ohio And Other US Cities

Someone help me out here.  I thought that when a nation sends out an envoy that the envoy is sent to another government.  When I read about this more closely, I see that this envoy is being sent to members of the local Somali Muslim community in order to get their approval regarding US policy in Somalia, but after reading the article more closely, I see that some of these local leaders here in the Columbus, Ohio area are involved heavily in Somali politics.  One of them is actually running for President of Somalia while living here in the US, and another has been asked to serve as Minister of Education in Somalia.  Apparently, the Current Administration is constructing a made-to-order US policy toward Somalia with the input of Somali Muslims who are living in safety in the US while having designs on taking control of the country they left behind. Of course, if something goes wrong then we can always send in our troops to bail them out, right?

Robert Patterson of the U.S. State Department's Somalia Diaspora Outreach section is hopping from meeting to meeting with Somali leaders and others.  "We're at a critical juncture," said Patterson, who is touring Somali communities across the United States. "We want Somalia to succeed. We want a recognized Somalia that is at peace."

In October, Assistant Secretary of State Johnnie Carson announced that the U.S. government would engage groups beyond the transitional government in Somalia. That includes governments in the semi-autonomous regions of Somaliland and Puntland as well as groups opposed to al-Shabab, the Islamist insurgency group.

Abdulkadir Ali was one of a number of local Somali leaders who met with Patterson yesterday.

Ali said he supports the new U.S. policy on its face but not if it ends up fueling more division in Somalia. He wants more explanation from the U.S. as to how it would work.

He fears that "every warlord will raise a flag and say, 'I'm a government,'" said Ali, a community leader who recently announced his candidacy for the Somali presidency. Members of the country's parliament elect the president.

But Abdinur Mohamud, a local leader who has been asked to join the new prime minister's cabinet, said it is simply a debate between those who want a centralized government and those seeking a federal system.  "It's the reality of the situation. It's not based on clan interests," said Mohamud, who recently was asked to become the Somali minister of education, culture and higher education. He is now a consultant for the Ohio Department of Education.

Patterson already has visited Somali communities in Maine, northern Virginia, Houston and Seattle, and plans to visit the communities in San Diego and the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, home to the country's largest Somali population.

I tend to think that the US should leave hands-off in regard to constructing a new government in Somalia.  I think the Current Administration could make a better case for building a new Somali government if they had a reference to building a successful government here in the USA.  In any event, our time, money, and potentially our military being invested in an unstable Somalia would be out of line in times of low distress here in the USA, and it is certainly out of line currently.

Do Not Forget The "Green Agenda"...Those Who Drive It Are Not Going Away Anytime Soon.

I got an email yesterday from someone in a local Tea-Party network that I felt compelled to share in the blogosphere.  This is an attempt by The Left to frame the argument in terms that favor their point of view, making the Green Agenda seem like something other than the issue which it is, i.e. Big Government Control of every aspect of individual lives.  

Here is the text of the email, with personally-identifiable information removed: 

I work for a xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxx company in xxxxx xxxx.  Every now and then, when we log in to our workstations we have a company newsletter on our home page.  Few people actually take time to read it, but I am always curious to look at new things.  When I logged in yesterday I noticed the following article below.  I highlighted the key words.  For some reason they were afraid to mention that it was put out there by The Tides Foundation, with good old George Soros at the helm.  Needless to say, I am very concerned about working at this location.

Amid the simple animation of The Story of Electronics, a new environmental video co-produced by the Electronics TakeBack Coalition, there is a scene that shows assembly workers in face masks at some giant electronics manufacturer carefully putting together toxic computers. Skull-and-crossbones symbols are attached to the equipment the workers utilize as well as the components they assemble, making it clear that these manufacturers aren't planting flowers.

Pushing up daisies, however, might be appropriate imagery to associate with the manufacture of toxic electronics and the resulting global e-waste crisis. Skull-and-crossbones symbols are plentiful in the video, and not because pirates somehow fit into the story. Grinning skulls show up on computer monitors and in puffs of polluted air, everywhere that the deadly consequences of improperly managed e-waste can be illustrated. The Story of Electronics uses a casual animated style to explore the high-tech revolution's collateral damage - more than 25 million tons of e-waste.

The video covers a range of topics related to e-waste, moving from the manufacture of electronics to tempting sales in big box stores to the consumer's desire to always have the latest gizmo or gadget. Host Annie Leonard then takes viewers through the process of "extended producer responsibility," where the electronics that for years have been "designed for the dump" instead become part of a massive electronics takeback campaign that supports reuse and refurbishment.

Some of the most poignant imagery depicts the trail of obsolete electronics tossed out with the trash - again with the skull-and-crossbones - or donated it to a collection drive that merely throws the e-waste on a boat to ship to some developing nation. There, the cartoon stick figures disassemble and smash the e-waste with primitive tools and incinerate the components for precious metals. The remaining waste is shown dumped in landfills or waterways where one way or another, the poisons seep into human bodies. It fairly accurately depicts the health and environmental hazards of the e-waste nightmare.

The video strives for an upbeat conclusion, with a call for a green "race to the top" where designers compete to make long-lasting, toxic-free electronics that are easily recyclable.

I hate to leave my job, but it is beneath my ethics to work for a company that is trying to destroy our economy.

I can understand why this person would be uncomfortable and want to leave their job, and I hope that if they do that then they are able to find something even better in the future.  I'm grateful that they took the time to share this insight into what is going on out there. 

It is important to realize that the propaganda represented by the links in the email is what is being presented not only to those in the workplace across America but also to young students in our government schools each and every day, and that each new generation is indoctrinated in this fashion.    Who will give others a different perspective to consider?  It looks like it is up to you and me, because the Big Money, and therefore a loud and pervasive voice, is on the side of The Left.

I once heard someone say that "he who frames the argument controls the debate", and I believe that is true.  In the case of the Green Debate I'm not so sure that it won't go the way of Obamacare, that is, they'll just ram it down our throat even if we don't agree with it.  We have to see it for what it is...a method to advance government control over individual lives, and another nail in the coffin of The Constitution and self-government, and make as many others aware of this as possible, because The Left is trying to make this a popular feel-good issue with a plurality of support. 

The Founders of our country were outnumbered in what seemed to be an impossible fight, and they won in the end.  We should honor them by opposing tyranny on every front and not ever giving up.

Congress Seeks To Give The US Goverment Control Over The Food Supply With S.510 and H.R .875

The US Senate voted for cloture on S. 510 on November 18th, 2010, within the Lame-Duck session.  In a nutshell, this bill would give the US Government  control over the food supply in the USA.  The companion bill in the House of Representative is H.R. 875.

When a government controls the food supply in a nation, it controls the people in that nation.  Nothing could be more basic, and nothing could be more true.  

Under this bill the government would have far reaching control over farms of every size, farm markets, and this control would be easily expandable into private gardens.  It is basically a reach for total control of the food supply in the US by our government.  

Now, during the Lame-Duck session, is the time to let your elected-supposed-to-be-representatives know what you think about this.  It is a dangerous thing to have the government in control of the food supply, even though they are going to try to sell you on this with the idea that more government control equals better protection for the citizens.

Bryan Fischer distills the whole premise of the nanny-state Socialists and ruler-state Marxists into the common core principle of both - they are stealing, plain and simple.  I am against stealing.  Those who support socialism and / or Marxism are for stealing.

His approach to health care reform obviously involves taking from the rich and giving to the poor. This is nothing more than legalized theft, plunder under the color of law.

And it is predicated, as all of liberalism is, on an envy of the wealthy and productive. There is a seething resentment among liberals that some in our culture have while others do not, a resentment that finds expression in the forcible taking of the assets of the productive and its transfer to the unproductive. That is nothing more than ugly greed.

Thus liberalism, and ObamaCare in particular, is predicated on a gross, deliberate violation of two of God's Ten Commandments.

It is not as if the Bible does not believe in the transfer of wealth, for it surely does. But what the Bible teaches is that such a transfer must be voluntary.

Not only is wealth stolen from people by the government this way.  There is something far more valuable that is stolen.  The potential of self-betterment is stolen, the ability to use one's God-given talent to improve one's situation in life.  When an individual does use and develop their talent, they grow not only in productivity but also in self-confidence and belief in themselves and their abilities, and they also discover other talents along the way.  In this process, the individual members of a community tend to better one another by the sharing of ideas and experiences.  All of these things, and many more, are stolen from individuals by government under either a socialist or Marxist form of government.  


At one time in the not-too-distant past there was recognition of the God-given blessing of self government and both its inherent responsibility and benefit, a recognition that had been with us from the founding of the USA up until the middle of the 20th century.  Until and unless there is a reawakening in our country in this regard, we are still just whistling past the graveyard as a nation.

The White House has decided that some companies do not have to comply with Obamacare.  Some of the companies that do not have to comply include health insurance companies.  Yes, the same companies that will happily sell you a mandatory government insurance policy are themselves exempted from the mandate. 

I'm going to state upfront that ObamaCare is Unconstitutional and illegal as well.  Okay, hopefully my premise is simple and clear.  Now on to the meat of the discussion.

The Obama Administration recently handed out 111 Obamacare waivers to special US companies… And, they’re hiding this from the American public. It takes 6 clicks to find out this information on the government’s health care website. 

Unfortunately, if you’re a small business or you don’t have the right connections you can’t get a waiver for your company.
That’s the new reality under the Obama-Pelosi regime.

Unbelievable.


I'm known as a skeptic, and some would even label me as a cynic.  My question is...did these companies have to offer some consideration to the White House to get these exemptions?  

Even if they didn't offer some sort of pay-to-play (or pay-to-not-have-to-play in this case), how is it that some will be exempted by Executive Fiat while others are not?

I was not surprised to see this, and I'm not surprised that The White House is running their business like a totalitarian dictatorship i.e. making unilateral decisions to overrule legislation that applies to all citizens in order to grant favors to a few, even if that legislation is Unconstitutional.  

I know that Obamacare gives the HHS Secretary broad power of interpretation and definition.  Did these companies provide some sort of consideration i.e. bribe to the White House in order to receive HHS approval for a waiver of exemption from Obamacare?  I can't say if this is true, but I know something about this whole thing stinks to high heaven, and it is becoming more odiferous as time goes on.
