When Barack H. Obama openly and publicly criticized the Supreme Court decision to overturn McCain-Feingold it was an arrogant and precedent-setting thing to do so from the "Bully Pulpit". After that, I figured that there would be no mention of this in the State Of The Union Address, because he had already dealt with this issue in his typical over-the-top Chicago Big-Stick style, right?
Wrong! Barack H. Obama delivered his first State Of The Union Address last evening and among many other things, raked the SCOTUS over the coals publicly in a forum where they can do nothing but sit there and grimace. To me this shows evidence of the arrogance and elitism that is so much a part of who Barack H. Obama is in his very essence.
The jousting of ideas can be found HERE and HERE and in many other articles so the specifics of the SCOTUS decision and Barack H. Obama's opposition to it are not going to be discussed in this post.
The whole point of what I am saying is that Barack H. Obama has no respect for the USA, for the office of the POTUS, for the protocols of government, and most of all Barack H. Obama has no respect for the citizens of the USA who he is elected to serve.
Arrogance is an issue here. The basic root of it seems to be that We The People are not as smart nor as educated as Barack H. Obama, so we should simply shrink back quietly while Barack H. Obama runs each and every aspect of our lives for us. Oh, and the Supreme Court's function to determine the Constitutional Standing of Laws and serve and a Check and Balance to the two other branches of US Government? People, please...we have Barack H. Obama as POTUS now!
I'll end the post with a take on arrogance by Alfonzo Rachel:
ZONATION: Arrogance Cost Left Massachusetts
