United States Senate Votes For Sale As USA Transitions From Constitutional Republic To Banana Republic

Since The Government Takeover Of Healthcare vote in the US Senate, I have heard callers to talk shows question why our Senators from Ohio did not get any federal dollars for Ohio like Louisiana and Nebraska got in exchange for their Senator's votes.  I have also read letters to the editor which ask the same question, basically "Where's Our Share Of The Pork?". 

None of those seeking pork for Ohio ever mention that the money either comes out of the pockets of taxpayers or from an increase in the money supply.  Either of these two options makes us poorer.  Increased taxes, whether direct or indirect, leave the taxpayer with less income to spend.  An increase in the money supply makes all money in that supply worth less and enough of an increase in a money supply makes the money worthless.  These are the only two ways that a government can raise money to provide a Pork Diet for their citizens.

With citizens of each state feeling that they should get a piece of the federal porkpie, maybe there will be developing resentment from some states who get no special Pork Infusion against the other states who are having their internal budgets supplemented with cash from taxpayers nationwide.  For example, unless you are in Nebraska, you are paying for the Medicaid Program in your state AND the Medicaid Program in Nebraska as well.  Conversely, if you are a Nebraskan, you just got a federal subsidy on the part of your taxes that pay for your state's Medicaid Program. 

At one time in history, Senators and Representatives were elected to represent We The People in Washington DC and to protect our National Interests.  This is what The US Constitution mandates.  Over the years there have been many, many members of Congress who for a greater or lesser price sold their vote.  This was done in a clandestine way in the past, and with private sector money for the most part.  Now it is done out in the open with taxpayer money and the recipient boasting of how much their bribe was worth or maybe running TV commercials to defend taking a bribe for their vote.  

Now that these folks are openly flaunting their corruption like this and the citizens are openly demanding that their elected member of Congress sell out so they get their share of the Pork Bribe Money, we are well on the way to transforming from Constitutional Republic to Banana Republic.

Hebrews 12:1 & 3 says, "So let us run the race that is before us and never give up. We should remove from our lives anything that would get in the way. And we should remove the sin that so easily catches us. Think about Jesus. He held on patiently while sinful men were doing evil things against him. Look at Jesus' example so that you will not get tired of stop trying." These scriptures make it clear what we are to do. I am sick and tired of letting God down first and then the Founding Fathers. I will add to this list of letting down my children and my future generations. I do not know the plan that God has for our country but His word in Job 22:23 says, "If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored." His word also says in 2 Chronicles 7:14 "Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land." Maybe then our country will go back to what God's word says in Matthew 5:14, "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden."

DENVER — Mike Hermanstorfer was clutching his pregnant wife's hand when her life slipped away in a Colorado hospital on Christmas Eve, and then he cradled his newborn son's limp body seconds after a medical team delivered the baby by Cesarean section.

Minutes later he saw his son come to life in his arms under the feverish attention of doctors, and soon he learned his wife had inexplicably come back to life.

"My legs went out from underneath me," Hermanstorfer said Tuesday. "I had everything in the world taken from me, and in an hour and a half I had everything given to me."

Hermanstorfer's wife, Tracy, went into cardiac arrest and stopped breathing during labor on Thursday, said Dr. Stephanie Martin, a maternal fetal medicine specialist at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, where the Hermanstorfers had gone for the birth of their son.

"She had no signs of life. No heartbeat, no blood pressure, she wasn't breathing," said Martin, who had rushed to Hermanstorfer's room to help. "The baby was, it was basically limp, with a very slow heart rate."

After their miraculous recovery, both mother and the baby, named Coltyn, appear healthy with no signs of problems, Martin said.

She said she cannot explain the mother's cardiac arrest or the recovery.
 
"We did a thorough evaluation and can't find anything that explains why this happened," she said.

Mike Hermanstorfer credits "the hand of God."

"We are both believers ... but this right here, even a nonbeliever — you explain to me how this happened. There is no other explanation," he said.

Asked about divine intervention, Martin said, "Wherever I can get the help, I'll take it."

This will be a legend in this family for generations to come.

I know this is not the kind of story I usually post.  It is the classic Christmas Miracle Story, but I posted it because as I read it, I saw that this is what God can do with our country if we let Him.  That it happened within a few hours of the Senate Health Scam vote reminded me that With God All Things Are Possible. 

And it is never too late. 

I don't know about you, but I needed to be reminded of that.

Senator Max Baucus (D-Montana) Drinks Canada Dry Plus Whatever Else Was In His Glass

The title for this post is sort of a play on words, what with The Senate voting for a Canadian-Style Health Control System and Max Baucus' state being so close to Canada, I figure he saw a sign that said "Drink Canada Dry" and then decided to cross the border and go for it.  Evidently the whole lot of them were in a similar state when they put The Monstrosity together. 

Memo To Senator Baucus: Democrats voted down each and every  ammendment that any Republican proposed during the course of  debate on this legislation and the Democrat President has not even invited the input of a single Republican at the White House since May! Bipartisanship is a two-way street! I do agree with you on one point though. The Democrats own this thing.

I'm sure that someone will come out and say this display on the video above was due to a "medical condition" and try to make us feel sorry for posting this. 

The only thing I'm feeling sorry about is the direction that our country is headed.

Our country as been blessed by God and there is no denying this fact. Compare our country to other countries and you will agree. But perhaps God has run out of grace and mercy for our country. Perhaps He no longer wants to bless our country. Perhaps He has taken His hand off our country and we are going to face the consequences of our sins. Remember, actions have consequences. I am reminded of the Puritans that came to America back in the 1600's. The Puritans enjoyed life. They were not a group of people wearing black, narrow minded, and self-righteous as we might have thought. But the Puritans understood how to deal with sin. They knew that sin separated them from God and they took this very seriously. They knew that what happened to one of them affected every one of them. They knew that they needed God's mercy and forgiveness. They knew God's blessings flowed from their obedience. Maybe we could learn something from the Puritans for today.

Both The Constitution and The Federalist are from a time when there was an attention span that was longer than 60 seconds at a time, longer than a few months at a time, and when citizens were not bombarded by a multimedia news cycle that limits and crowds out the ability to recall and reason on an individual level.  In today's world, reading The Constitution seems like a chore for most people, and reading The Federalist more like a bore.  Meanwhile, The Enemies Of Liberty within our government are more than willing to mislead and misinterpret, providing the antithesis to The Federalist and The Constitution as they shake the foundation of our Republic.

Have we sold our souls to Satan as a nation? I am afraid that this is the sad truth that came to me this week. We have strayed so far away from what our country was founded upon. It is not surprising that our country has come to this sad truth. There have been many things that has brought our country to this state such as the founding of Planned Parenthood, legalization of abortion, prayer being removed from the public school, same sex marriage, and the list goes on. We now have a government that is dead set on bringing about change that we have never faced before. This government wants to force change on the American people which will take away our freedoms and rights (God-given rights) that our Founding Fathers fought for and believed in. Now let's not look around and point fingers because you know that when we do, we have three fingers pointing back at us (which is what we tell our children). Each action has a consequence. We all need to take responsibility for where our country is now and where it is headed fast. So let's get honest and truthful with ourselves. We have let God and the Founding Fathers down.

Christmas in America: The Delaware Crossing, 1776

This is a copy of an email that one of the Patriots of The Central Ohio 9/12 Project sent out.  I have gratuitously copied and pasted it here:

While Americans in the Year of Our Lord 2009 enjoy the Christmas holiday in their warm homes, snuggled around a glowing hearth, partaking of festive cheer, let us drift back to another band of Americans past who, foregoing such luxuries--though to be sure they longed for them--, chose instead to endure hardship as soldiers, and to prosecute an assault on Trenton, New Jersey on--of all nights--Christmas night, 1776. 

The American cause throughout the War of Independence seemed perpetually on the brink of defeat. The odds and obstacles stacked against this fledging outbreak of liberty appeared to preclude its victory, much less its survival for any length of time. It was but a flickering flame about to be snuffed out not long after it had been lit. Such was the case in the winter of 1776. It was only a few months since independence had been declared, and the fire of liberty was but a smoldering ember nearly extinguished, but for one man....

The General had led his rag-tag band of soldiers on a long retreat across New Jersey after the fall of Fort Lee and Fort Washington. Now only the great Delaware River stood between what was left of the dwindling American forces and the British enemy in hot pursuit along with their hired companies of Hessian mercenaries. And soon it would freeze over, and their doom would be sealed. At the turn of the year most of the soldiers' enlistments would expire, and the prevailing mood was that this fight was all but over. Washington knew that something had to be done; a bold stroke was needed--a daring stroke, a desperate stroke. Some of his officers shared his sentiments, but it was Washington's singular resolve that saw the plan through in the face of great difficulty. They would cross back over the Delaware and attempt to take Trenton.

The sole source of Washington's confidence in such a move came from God. On December 14, while pondering a venture of some sort, he wrote that they might "under the smiles of Providence, effect an important stroke." Why not just concede to the mightier force? In the face of such difficulties, why not sue for peace? Life under British rule was not so intolerable after all, was it? Morale was low. This rabble of an army was without needed supplies, and the onset of winter was well upon them. Even the enemy knew of their dire circumstances. One British officer observed that during their retreat across the countryside "many of the Rebels who were killed in the late affairs, were without shoes or stockings, and several were observed to have only linen drawers on, with a rifle or hunting shirt, without any proper shirt or waistcoat. They are also in great want of blankets.... in less than a month they must suffer extremely." One would think at Christmas time these soldiers would desire a little warmth, a little comfort, and a little peace. After all, is not Christmas the time for "Peace on earth, good will toward men?" But this General had a river to cross!

What kind of a man was Washington, and what kind of men would follow him on such a mission, enduring such privation and suffering. George Washington, at the core of this hero of a man, was a humble and devout Christian, who exhorted his troops to put away vice and practice the Christian virtues. He admonished, "To the distinguished character of a Patriot, it should be our highest glory to add the more distinguished character of a Christian." And what of the men who fought for American independence:

We regard our civil and religious principles to be the sweetest and essential part of our lives, without which the remainder is scarcely worth preserving. (Declaration of the townspeople of Chatham, Massachusetts)

If an army should be sent to reduce us to slavery, we will put our lives in our hands and cry to the Judge of all the earth.... Behold--how they come to cast us out of this possession, which Thou hast given us to inherit. Help us, Lord, our God, for we rest on Thee, and in Thy name we go against this multitude. (Boston Gazette)

Death is more eligible than slavery. A free-born people are not required by the religion of Jesus Christ to submit to tyranny, but may make use of such power as God has given them to recover and support their laws and liberties.... [We] implore the Ruler above the skies that He would make bare His arm in defense of His church and people, and let Israel go. (Declaration of the men of Marlborough, Massachusetts)

These men served the true God. To them Christmas meant "Christ the Savior is born." They acknowledged that "Christ is born of Mary," paying homage to the lowly Child born in a humble stable beneath a serene and starry sky. But they also recognized the stark, lurking reality of Evil, that just as that great antichrist Herod slew the children in order to snuff out the life of the Babe and to crush the life and liberty that He would bring to the world, so also these Americans faced their own tyrant, their own antichrist. And what was their response? The Provincial Congress of Massachusetts Bay, John Hancock presiding, declared, "Resistance to tyranny becomes the Christian and social duty of each individual.... Continue steadfast, and with a proper sense of your dependence on God, nobly defend those rights which heaven gave, and no man ought to take from us."

They crossed the raging river that night, in the cold driving snow and hail. When one of his generals sought to discourage the attack because their muskets were wet, Washington replied, "Tell General Sullivan to use the bayonet. I am resolved to take Trenton." About 8 a.m. they finally reached the enemy post, and engaged the Hessian troops, which were completely surprised. After about an hour of fierce fighting they surrendered to the American forces. This victory infused new life into the American cause, and was one of a string of pivotal and essential turnabouts during the war without which the history of America would have taken a vastly different course. Summing up the taking of Trenton, Sir George Trevelyan observed, "This was a long and severe ordeal, and yet it may be doubted whether so small a number of men ever employed so short a space of time with greater or more lasting results upon the history of the world."

The Americans themselves acknowledged the hand of God in the whole drama. Henry Knox, one of Washington's officers credited Divine intervention, recording, "Providence seemed to have smiled upon every part of this enterprise." Some of the instances of Providential aid are the following:

>The availability of the Durham boats and the presence of John Glover and his Marbleheaders, expert oarsmen who ferried Washington and his army not once, not twice, but three times across the Delaware.

>The inclement weather conditions, which provided cover for the offensive, decreasing visibility so as to conceal their movements, and diminishing the expectation of any attack in the minds of their enemies.

>A strange early attack and the delay of the Americans made the attack a complete surprise. The Hessian commander actually had intelligence of a possible attack, so that there was a detail put on alert. But somewhat early on Christmas night a mysterious band of ruffians emerged from the woods, exchanged one volley with the Hessian guards, and turned tail and ran back into the woods. The Hessian commander mistakenly considered this the pathetic attempt of the Americans at an attack of which he was warned. After this, he permitted his men to stand down and join the Christmas festivities. When the actual Colonial forces arrived in the morning, a sound sleep had fallen on them all. No one knows to this day who the early assailants were.

>The American troops suffered no casualties in the attack, except for two men who succumbed to the elements during the long march through the night from the River bank up to Trenton.

>The Americans acquired provisions, supplies, powder, clothing and blankets from their capture of Trenton, all which they desperately needed for survival.

>The uncanny but consistent delays on the part of the British Generals in pressing their advantage and pursuing the American Army, allowed Washington to escape once again, quickly abandoning Trenton and crossing the Delaware back into Pennsylvania just in advance of British reinforcements.

Washington himself, in this and in every episode of the war, would acknowledge God's handiwork in favoring the American cause: "The hand of Providence has been so conspicuous in all this that he must be worse than an infidel that lacks faith, and more than wicked that has not gratitude to acknowledge his obligations." Indeed our forefathers were thankful, though they had many more hardships to endure; yet they would see many more “instances of a superintending Providence in [their] favor,” as Benjamin Franklin would recall years later.

This Christmas may we "cross the river" with our General, and enter that arena of conflict which every courageous and free man must endure. May we return to the God of our fathers who declared they would have "No king but king Jesus!" And with the signers of the Declaration (as Samuel Adams exclaimed at its adoption) might we profess that "We have this day restored the Sovereign, to Whom alone men ought to be obedient. He reigns in heaven and ... from the rising to the setting sun, may His Kingdom come." Then shall we earnestly sing of the birth of the Savior of Mankind,
"Joy to the world, the Lord is come; let earth receive her King.

Let every heart prepare Him room, and heaven and nature sing."

"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become the children of God, to those who believe in His name." (John 1:12)

12/24 is the New 9/11

When I was a youngster, Christmas Eve was the best day of the year.  Back then I was full of anticipation of what gifts would be under the Christmas Tree in the morning.  Experience told me that on Christmas, my brother and I would fight over some of the gifts, I wanting some of what he got and he wanting some of mine; most of these same gifts would be broken and forgotten in the upcoming year until the following Christmas brought the process to repetition.

As an adult, I focus more on the Christmas Eve anticipation of the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ on Christmas, even though I know that Christmas Day, December 25th, is very likely not the date of His birth.  While that date is not possible to determine exactly and no record has been found indicating the exact date of Jesus' birth, it is likely either in September or October when He came to Earth to begin the process of payment in full for Salvation.  No matter that the date is not historically accurate; the significance of His birth, which in turn made His life and Sacrificial Death possible, is eternal and central to my life and so each year it touches me deeply.

From today on, though, 12/24 will also be like 9/11 for me.  On 9/11/2001 our country was attacked from within and the consequences of that attack continue to be felt, in my life and yours.  Today, 12/24/2009, our country was attacked from within once more with the likely consequences being deeply and broadly felt by you and I for the rest of our lives. 

Alexis de Tocqueville, in his treatise "Democracy in America" wrote: "The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money."  In 2009 we have seen this process in full-throated glory, with today's vote in the US Senate having followed the use by that August Body of "the public's money" to bribe certain Senators to obtain the result desired by the Attackers From Within.

Never again will 12/24, Christmas Eve, be simply a time of anticipation of the celebration of the birth of my Savior, Jesus Christ.  Sadly, 12/24 will always be a day that I remember for what The US Senate did today, 12/24/2009. 

The year 2009 has been a difficult year for our Constitutional Republic, The United States Of America.  History has yet to determine what the long term significance of the many events of the year 2009 will be.  No matter what impact the events of 2009 signify regarding The USA in the future, it is certain that The Founding Fathers meant for ALL of The People to be REPRESENTED in Washington DC so that We The People would not be oppressed by tyranny from our government. Sadly the national equation now stands as: 435 Representatives + 100 Senators + 1 President + 9 Justices = 1 Enslaved Nation - Representation. 

I may yet rejoice, but for now my heart is heavy.

The POTUS Hangs Out In Washington DC For Christmas Eve. What Will Bart Stupak Do?

October 2009: “If everything I want [is] in the final bill, I like everything in the bill except you have public funding for abortion, and we had a chance to run our amendment and we lost. OK, I voted my conscience, stayed true to my principles, stayed true to the beliefs of this district, could I vote for healthcare? Yes I still could.”

December 22nd 2009: “They think I shouldn’t be expressing my views on this bill until they get a chance to try to sell me the language. Well, I don’t need anyone to sell me the language. I can read it. I’ve seen it. I’ve worked with it. I know what it says. I don’t need to have a conference with the White House. I have the legislation in front of me here.”

The White House knows that if they can get Stupak and his Gang Of Twelve to vote for the current bill SOMEHOW then they will not have to take the bill to Conference Committee.  It is definitely possible to bypass Conference Committee and that very thing was discussed earlier this year.

I do not hear anything in either of these videos that makes me think that the scenario described in the paragraph above is impossible. 

With all the deceit and dark-of-night Chicago-Style politics that have been involved in The Government Takeover, nothing would surprise me.

Barack Obama is not leaving DC for Christmas, at least not until the Senate "finishes work".  I wonder who will be invited to the White House to discuss pending legislation before the POTUS does finally head to Hawaii? 

The USA is in my prayers, along with Stupak and Obama and Reid and Pelosi.  It is crunch time. As a Great American (whose actions, ironically, probably saved either the Capitol Building or The White House) once said, Let's Roll.

Senator DeMint was famously quoted as stating that Health Care Reform would be Barack Obama's Waterloo.

Senator DeMint was incorrect.  Health Care Reform, or more Correctly The Government Takeover Of Healthcare, is America's Waterloo. 

The dominoes are lined up, and some have already fallen.  TARP, GM, Chrysler, Student Loans, The Banking Industry are all under the wing of Uncle Sam Hussein already.

After The Healthcare Takeover, there is HR4173, The Wall Street Reform And Consumer protection Act, which among other things will make the government to be the loan officer for every loan in the USA.  Other dominoes in the line are Private Property Rights and The Right To Keep And Bear Arms For Personal Protection and Cap-And-Trade (or just Cap if the EPA has its way).

Our children are being indoctrinated in government schools to think as socialists.  At the university level they are being taught to embrace not only socialism but to marginalize and attack their enemies, who are those of us who believe in the Constitution and Free-Market Capitalism. 

Meanwhile, the Media act as the Ministry of Propaganda, giving us lots of details about the private life of Tiger Woods but very little or sometimes nothing about the dismantling of our Constitution behind the smoke screen of feigned Constitutional propriety.

If the resources of the 50 States are concentrated in certain individual states and used to buy-off a vote here and there in Congress, how long do you think it will take before resentment develops from the constituents in states that didn't get the Pork Buy-Off?  Will this help strengthen the Union Of The States or weaken it when states are pitted one against the other?

..."Because millions of Americans are secretly thinking the exact same thing as Dr. Sunderhaus and I: Why should we be forced to pay for the costs of other people’s irresponsibility?

And that’s pretty much where the discussion over health care has stalled: If we have to have a middleman unnecessarily taking a cut of our doctor payments, should that middleman be a private company like an HMO — or should it be the government?

To my mind, that question is actually irrelevant. Because there’s a much deeper philosophical objection to “socialized medicine” that is so un-PC that it is rarely if ever voiced in public. And for that reason, the opponents of socialized medicine never even mention the real flaw in the concept that nags the unconscious of most Americans:

"Not all ailments are equal."

"I’d prefer to let people make whatever choices they want, however stupid or dangerous I may deem those choices to be. Just so long as you take responsibility for your actions, and you reap the consequences and pay for them yourself — hey, be as foolish or hedonistic or selfish or thoughtless as you like. Not my business.

But if the bill for your foolishness shows up in the form of higher taxes on me, then I unwillingly start to care what you do.

Because that’s what socialized medicine does: it turns each of us into a little fascist. A nagging nanny who tells other people what to do and how to live."

Instead of bankrupting the country to pay for foolish people’s foolish decisions, I want to take a giant Sunderhaus finger and poke each American in the thigh and shout: “Shape up!”

Nebraska will not forget, and neither will Patriots from the Other 49 States.

Senator Ben Nelson (D-Ne) is a key vote in the current consideration of The Government Takeover Of Healthcare, HR3590 in The Senate.  The White House has weighed in on the matter due to the fact that Senator Nelson is opposed to part of the legislation dealing with the matter of using government funds (our tax dollars) for abortions.  The White House has threatened to put a very important military base on the closure list if Senator Nelson will not vote for passage of The Government Takeover:

"According to a Senate aide, the White House is now threatening to put Nebraska’s Offutt Air Force Base on the BRAC list if Nelson doesn’t fall into line.

Offutt Air Force Base employs some 10,000 military and federal employees in Southeastern Nebraska. As our source put it, this is a “naked effort by Rahm Emanuel and the White House to extort Nelson’s vote.” They are “threatening to close a base vital to national security for what?” asked the Senate staffer.

Indeed, Offutt is the headquarters for US Strategic Command, the successor to Strategic Air Command, and not by accident. STRATCOM was located in the middle of the country for strategic reasons. Its closure would be a massive blow to the economy of the state of Nebraska, but it would also be another example of this administration playing politics with our national security."  H/T Hot Air

The base in question, Offutt Air Force Base, is home to the United States Strategic Command (STRATCOM).  Some may remember STRATCOM's roots in the Strategic Air Command (SAC), which was also based at Offutt.

The location for STRATCOM in Nebraska is, well, strategic.  Not only that, the mission of STRATCOM is VITAL to our National Defense.  It would have to be relocated and reestablished at a cost of certainly Billions if not Trillions of dollars.  This of course has not stopped The Obama White House from using this as a bargaining chip to try to coerce Senator Nelson to vote the way they want.  Relocating something like STRATCOM (or abolishing it - something that I would not put past this White House at all) would definitely be a negative to a very dangerous degree when it comes to National Defense; it would open up a huge can of worms.

I know that Hundreds of Billions or even Trillions are no big deal for the Obama Administration, mostly because they clearly have no compunction about emptying the pockets of taxpayers in every way possible in the coming years. 

The biggest concern is how little regard they toward put the National Defense of the USA when it comes to moving the nation toward their brand of Socialism (which at this point is looking a lot like a 10-Year Plan to install Communism).

If you think that the above is an extreme statement in regard to putting too much weight on The Government Takeover Of Healthcare then look up HR4173, which puts the government in the position of decision-maker when it comes to who gets a loan.  Not just Student Loans, ANY and ALL loans.  It is basically a Government Takeover of the Banking and Finance Industry.  A Permanent Takeover. 

I heard a statistic today that indicated that if The Government Takeover Of Healthcare passes and HR4173 passes as well, the US Government will be in control of 60% of the US economy, that is, in direct control of 60% of our economy.  No, this does NOT take into account Cap-And-Trade. 

We're on the edge of a precipice and the wall is starting to crumble.

The thinking presented here is that these conspicuous movements by men of "middle-eastern descent" are to desensitize people i.e. when this type of activity happens and no attack happens afterwards then everyone relaxes, and this makes it easier for another group who may act inconspicuously to carry out an actual attack in the future.

Florida Senate Republican Primary Race Is Currently A Tie Between Marco Rubio And Charlie Crist

"Last night in Washington, close to one hundred leaders of the conservative movement gathered in a townhouse just down from the United States Capitol to hear Senator Jim DeMint and Florida Speaker Marco Rubio at a Senate Conservatives Fund fundraiser for Marco Rubio.

The people in the room for Rubio were the same people who blew up NY-23, helping Doug Hoffman and crushing the chances of a far left Republican, Dede Scozzafava.

Just prior to the start of the fundraiser, a bomb went off in Florida. According to Rasmussen, the Florida Senate primary is now tied between Rubio and Crist.

For perspective, only about six months ago, Rubio was in the single digits with Crist safely over 50%.

Jim DeMint told the crowd that Rubio is one of a handful of “new Republicans” running to take back our country. And the new poll shows it is working.

Charlie Crist is the only candidate the National Republican Senatorial Committee will admit to endorsing. The actually used the word “endorse.” Since their endorsement, Crist has seen a top fundraiser indicted for a ponzi scheme, taken every position possible on the Obama stimulus plan, replaced his campaign team, and gone from over fifty percent in the polling to tied with Marco Rubio.

Rubio will win. The Establishment will be defeated. Conservatives will advance and with them freedom.

Jim DeMint told the crowd that attended if they were there, they were no longer part of the establishment. The leaders of the conservative movement were there and they and their checkbooks are going to throw the GOP establishment under Barack Obama’s bus."

I can tell you for sure that if I lived in Florida I would be not only voting for Marco Rubio I would be supporting him with every ounce of energy that  I could muster. 

I believe that Rubio will win in Florida.  Even if I did not believe that I would still be supporting him. 

We are in this mess as a Nation because of RINOs like Charlie Crist and the Establishment GOP and the RNC who believe in compromise of conservative principles.  These are the same people who opposed the Conservative Candidate in NY-23, to the point of directing their RINO supporters to support the Democrat when the RNO dropped out of the race.

We need to decide what we stand for and then stand for it.  Those who call themselves conservative yet do not have the courage to stand against the RINO-RNC are simply cowards who stand for nothing, and are as much to blame for the downfall of the USA as any of the Leftist Establishment. 

We either stand for something or we will fall for anything.

Today — in the Senate office building — Senate staff literally threatened to arrest three members of the Tea Party Patriots, including two National Coordinators. When one of the most “moderate” Senators threatens to have well groomed, quiet, cooperative tea partiers arrested simply for sitting in the office waiting to meet with a Senator, it is clear that representative democracy is on its death bed in this country.

Many people don’t know the Bill of Rights has a Preamble—a mission statement. I am guessing Rachel Maddow is included. She didn’t even know the Constitution had a preamble.

So on the 218th anniversary of the Bill of Rights, please take the time to read them and consider what they really mean. They are the people’s rights against an oppressive government, and they are the state’s rights for sovereignty. The Bill of Rights doesn’t protect the idiots in the Federal Government. Do you celebrate these rights, or have you passed them off as something that is irrelevant in 2009? I hope you celebrate and will passionately defend them, but I have my doubts about many Americans who beg these days for the government to take care of them with whatever new entitlement that robs them of these rights."

THE Conventions of a number of the States, having at the time of their adopting the Constitution, expressed a desire, in order to prevent misconstruction or abuse of its powers, that further declaratory and restrictive clauses should be added: And as extending the ground of public confidence in the Government, will best ensure the beneficent starts of its institution.

Amendments

First Amendment – Establishment Clause, Free Exercise Clause; freedom of speech, of the press, Freedom of Religion, and of assembly; right to petition,

Second Amendment – Militia (United States), Sovereign state, Right to keep and bear arms.

Third Amendment – Protection from quartering of troops.

Fifth Amendment – due process, double jeopardy, self-incrimination, eminent domain.

Sixth Amendment – Trial by jury and rights of the accused; Confrontation Clause, speedy trial, public trial, right to counsel


In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district where in the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defense.

Seventh Amendment – Civil trial by jury.


In suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.

Eighth Amendment – Prohibition of excessive bail and cruel and unusual punishment.


Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

Ninth Amendment – Protection of rights not specifically enumerated in the Bill of Rights.


The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

Tenth Amendment – Powers of States and people.

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

Senator Nelson Has The Next Move

"The White House and Democratic Leadership in the Senate has told Senator Nelson they will close every military base in Nebraska — a threat that is not credible, really — but they have also offered Senator Nelson between $300 million to $500 million in earmarks, according to key hill health care operatives. These hundreds of millions will be available for whatever he wants to spend them on in Nebraska.

Given Senator Nelson’s hard core earmarking history as an appropriator, the word on the street is that this is the real carrot that could get Nelson to agree to some cover amendment that would allege to protect the innocent unborn from government funding of abortion, but, in fact, would not.

Unless a Sanders or Burris — or some other liberal — objects to the bill having no public option, then if Nelson holds the bill dies, and if Nelson does not hold, the bill passes. Given that the Dems have caved to Lieberman — this is the whole ball game — Senator Nelson. The Dem leadership could still win without Nelson, if they got Snowe since there is no public option, or they could cave to Nelson like they did to with Lieberman, and like the Speaker did with Stupak, and add in the abortion restrictions, but this would tempt fate since their liberal base would have to swallow both no public option and abortion restrictions.

The next 36 hours are key to this fight, given the fact the Dems caved to Lieberman. It’s all about Nelson now, plain and simple. Will he do what his constituents want and kill the bill, or will he take the cash?"

The Obama Administration has already shown that they will bribe Members of Congress with OUR TAXPAYER MONEY.  The only possible source of Statemanship is the individual Members who turn down the bribes, if any who fall in that category can be found. 

Of course, if the Obama Adminstration cared even a little bit about providing for the defense of the USA they would never even think about moving the SAC base from the current strategic location.  Since their Social(ist) Agenda is more important than discharging the duties and responsibilities mandated by The Constitution, they are threatening to do exactly that in order to compel Senator Nelson's cooperation. How Much Will It Cost And When Does The Bill Come Due?

We can set a dollar amount on the cost of the policy initiatives that President Obama and Democrat Majority in Congress have put in place in 2009, and we can project the cost of the large pending additions that are currently being debated.  What is the real long-term cost, though?

We know of course that there will either be a large tax increase and an increase in the money supply, but likely there will be both.  The tax increase will likely be both in direct taxation and indirect taxation, including fees associated with growth in government and fines for noncompliance and/or failure to meet government standards (of which either has been shown to be a shifting target).  The increased money supply will apply inflationary pressure no matter what the taxation scenario looks like.

What happens if there is another terrorist attack or maybe a series of large terrorist attacks? (There have already been smaller ones and there is no sign that the federal government is focused on National Defense in this area to the necessary degree). 

What happens to the banking system as smaller banks across the country are declared insolvent and their assets either absorbed by larger banks (consolidating the control of banking into fewer hands) or the depositors reimbursed by the federal government if no large institution agrees to absorb them?  

What happens to workers who are suddenly faced with gasonline at $4 per gallon, or $6 per galloni, or even $10 per gallon? 

What happens when you do your tax return for 2009?  What about your tax return for 2010 or 2011?  

What happens when you start to pay for a Government Takeover Of Healthcare in 2010 and yet the receipt of health services under The Government Takeover does not begin until 2011 or 2012? (This is an accounting shuffle that only the government could propose with a straight face).

What happens if all of these factors and maybe some others all combine to collapse our economy?  What will happen to your financial assets? Will our system of laws and government continue to stand?  Will you have any income?  Will you have a roof over your head? Will any of us be able to simply find food?  

I trust God to provide for my needs and the needs of my family.  At the same time I see elected leadership here in the USA that has The Ship Of State headed for some rocky shoals indeed.  The worst-case scenario of hitting those shoals full-on must be considered in order to have a prudent chance should the USA run aground and sink, because we cannot afford to assume that there will be safe water to steer into just because it has been there in the past.
